About Us
Michael Stephenson is a California native who’s been playing music since before he could walk. Mark Johnson grew up in North Carolina and now also lives in California.
We met as freshmen at Brown University in Fall 2001, living in the same dorm right down the hall from each other.
Our songwriting efforts started in the Spring of 2002, with late-night sessions of Mark writing lyrics while Michael composed melodies and played guitar. These original songs usually focused on college life and were mostly for the amusement of friends during hallway jam sessions.
Over the years, we’ve become more serious about writing music and honing our skills. Currently we work on music together remotely via the magic of the Internet and meet in person whenever possible for more efficient writing sessions.
We hope you enjoy our music — that’s why we’re writing it.

What happened to those Brown dorm songs – we want to hear them! THis is a nice song “hard rock band’ but the texture would be much richer if M records a harmonizing voice in some parts and added other instruments – that is generally true with all you songs. Keep going!!!
